Catalysis/ Catalytic processes
represent an integral part of process reactor systems, which serves as the
heart of process operations in the chemical and life sciences industries.
In addition, as environmental regulations become more stringent,
alternative "cleaner" synthesis routes would have to be
developed for chemical production and the need for novel catalytic systems
become apparent. The following areas have been identified as key topics in
this symposium:
- Hydrotreatment and hydrodesulphurisation through
catalysis
- Catalytic behaviour on surfaces
- C-C/ C-H bond formation & polymerisation
- Zeolites/ oxides & mesoporous materials
